Linum lead CEO & CTO appointment at RB Rail AS

Linum Consult’s client RB Rail AS has recently appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, Agnis Driksna, and Chief Technical Officer, Marc-Philippe El Beze, to join their project, Rail Baltica, effective as of the 8th of October 2020.

Rail Baltica is Europe’s largest tri-country cross border high speed rail project.  At €5.8 billion, spanning 870km, it will connect Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia with the rest of the EU rail network when it eventually connects with Poland (Warsaw) in the South and Finland (Helsinki) in the north.

Agnis Driksna, has already served for one year as the interim CEO and will now be given a permanent role with joint venture’s Supervisory Board.

Marc-Philippe El Beze was headhunted specifically for the role of CTO by Linum Consult, and has a substantial high-speed rail background.

“Today’s appointment represents another important milestone in the Rail Baltica project implementation”, said Anrī Leimanis, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. “The new leadership team has a wide-ranging experience in technical project implementation and stakeholder relationship management. The incoming Chief Technical Officer Marc-Philippe El Beze, is a seasoned high-speed railway construction manager with decades of hands-on expertise globally.”

Linum Consult’s Executive Search team facilitated the executive search for both the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Technology Officer, following on from our previous success of recruiting RB Rail AS’s Chief Programme Management Officer, Mark Loader.

“It has been an honour leading the global executive search for RB Rail’s new CEO and CTO”, said Francis Ryan, Co-Founder & Director at Linum Consult.  “We look forward to continuing our partnership with RB Rail AS in the future as they further expand and develop their Management and Engineering staff on this landmark mega project”.
