Linum Consult’s client is urgently seeking a Transport Service Planning Expert to develop and implement Mobility and Service Plans to improve First and Last Mile (FLM) solutions for better accessibility to rail stations.
ROLE
- Assisting in the identification and development of strategies for FLM access to metro, tram, and commuter rail stations
- Reviewing and suggesting improvements to existing FLM service plans
- Preparing mobility plans for station catchment areas and identify appropriate FLM modes
- Preparing procurement documents for FLM services
- Creating project reports detailing infrastructure requirements, concept studies, user analysis, and cost-benefit analysis for FLM services
- Coordinating and reviewing FLM service planning work from operators
- Participating in public outreach programs to promote FLM solutions
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in City/Town Planning, Transportation Planning, or Civil Engineering. Master’s degree is desirable
- At least 10 years of experience with a focus on FLM planning
- Experience of preparing operational service plans for First and Last mile (especially in the area of feeder bus network planning) solutions to feed the main transit network
- General knowledge in public transport planning
- Profound knowledge in FLM journeys
- Understanding of economic aspects of FLM systems
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience with transport simulation models is beneficial
