Linum Consult’s client is Rail Baltica: the largest Baltic transport infrastructure project that will create the North – East economic corridor. It will be an electrified, high speed railway line with modern infrastructure for passenger and freight services, ensuring environmentally friendly and fast transportation from Tallinn to the Lithuanian-Polish border. Rail Baltica will connect the Baltic States with Central and Western Europe. The project is largely co-financed by the European Union. They are currently in need of a Traffic Management System Engineer to join their team in either Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the design and construction activities from the client’s side
- Ensuring that the TMS product is developed according to their requirements
- Assigning tasks, reviewing and approving deliverables produced by the contractor and FIDIC Engineer
- Leading the coordination of TMS design and installation activities with civil construction works in each Baltic state
- Ensuring that CCS, ENE, and non-traction power supply systems are integrated with TMS
- Cooperating with National Safety Authorities, Baltic states’ Implementing Bodies, and other involved stakeholders
- Participating in the preparation of technical specifications and participating in the public procurement committees
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years’ experience in railways CCS engineering, design, supervision and acceptance, within an engineering company, infrastructure manager, or CCS supplier
- Experience in TMS projects in different EU countries, with any ERTMS project experience a plus
- Experience in high-speed railway lines would be preferred
- Experience in the practical application of railway safety methods (CSM-RA), related standards (EN) and RAMS methodology during all project phases
- Full understanding of traffic management principles, operational processes, tools, systems, and functionality
- Preferably have experience defining the functionalities of OCC buildings, including security and ergonomic aspects
- Understanding of requirements of Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI CCS, TSI OPE, TSI TAF/TAP)
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Very strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express and present technical concepts to stakeholders
- The right to live and work in the EU
