Linum Consult’s client operates out of the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Requirements Expert with a background in the rail industry to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring the compliance of project delivery to all the company’s requirements in a timely manner, and ensuring that the Requirements Management Processes and Tool’s usage for all the projects are robust in terms of Verification and Validation
  • Reviewing and updating the company’s Requirements Management Plan and Procedure, keeping them aligned with the Project’s and company’s needs
  • Ensuring all contracted projects are in alignment with the Requirements
  • Providing User Administration and Limited Configuration Support for ComplyPro and DOORS (Requirements Management Tools) for existing and future projects
  • Contributing to the Safety Assurance Team for all matters relating to Safety and Requirements Compliance
  • Providing support to compliance checking as per the Requirements Management processes and providing inputs to the design verification activities
  • Checking that items identified by the implementation of assumptions & Issues Management Processes are verified and closed
  • Allocating Functional Requirements to projects, agreeing allocation of the requirements to the delivery teams, implementing apportionment and Design and Validation Acceptance Criteria uniformly between various projects
  • Developing strong working relationships with the Delivery Teams, contractors, and within other departments of the company

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree qualification in an Engineering subject
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Requirements Management, with at least 5 years in the railway industry working for large consultancies or end clients
  • Strong technical knowledge of Railway Safety and Regulations, including EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, and EN 61508 is essential
  • Ideally experienced in contributing to Safety Assurance and Management, including participation in Hazard Identification and Analysis
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills
  • Good software skills in ComplyPro, DOORS, or similar, as well as MS Office – especially Excel
