Linum Consult’s client is part of a multinational Tier 1 main contractor – a world leader in structural engineering, currently seeking to expand their UK operations. They are urgently looking for a Quality Manager to develop and maintain the Quality Management Systems of the company. This role will be based out of their West Midlands office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring and providing Quality Management across the company when preparing and updating the QA plan, procedures, technical proposals, forms and certificates
  • Coordinating all quality matters with the Customer’s Representative, the Subcontractors, or the Vendors
  • Reviewing all quality plans of the subcontractors and suppliers; ensuring that the compliance is adhered to
  • Monitoring and collecting all the necessary quality records for the company’s allocated works
  • Managing and following-up on personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Implementing and controlling corrective and preventative actions based on the ISO procedures

PROFILE

  • University degree in Civil Engineering or a construction subject, and a CQP MCQI
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality management, working for main contractors
  • Significant experience in high value civil engineering projects, particularly road and rail construction
  • Experience of implementing quality processes
  • Solid knowledge of auditing
  • Very proficient in Quality Management Systems and related software
  • Excellent technical understanding and implementation of ISO standards
  • Fluent in English, with strong technical written skills
  • The right to live and work in the UK
