Linum Consult’s client is an international specialist main contractor. They are looking to hire a Planning & Scheduling Manager with experience in the industrial buildings construction sector to join their team in Lyon, Lille, or Aix-en-Provence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improving the regional business unit’s project planning and scheduling strategy to align with corporate philosophy, business objectives, Lean management, and Last Planner System approaches
- Implementing corporate software solutions for resource management (MMS), planning & scheduling (P6), and progress reporting (TMS) to streamline project management processes and improve operational efficiency
- Providing hands-on support and oversight with project set-up to ensure that processes, systems, tools & effective controls are consistently implemented at the earliest possible stage and maintained across the business
- Ensuring the implementation of planning across the entire project life cycle, from estimating initial baseline performance metrics, determining the current status of projects, estimating future potential of projects, identifying any variations and proposing appropriate action to recover any deviations
- Supporting the teams in cost & schedule risk analysis through the development and assessment of options under various scenarios to reduce risk and enhance predictability of project returns
PROFILE
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the construction industry, particularly in Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) or EPC environments
- Expert understanding in the maintenance of accurate project schedules, with strong technical knowledge of schedule resource loading, earned-value management (EVM) and levelling, critical path analysis, schedule health checks, and change order impact reviews
- Ability to review and analyse project costs and oversee the production of accurate progress/performance reports
- Experience in the Lean management approach to Planning and Scheduling through LPS roll-out
- Advanced forensic planning and scheduling knowledge, including in the development of significant and complex TIAs
- Ability to conduct project risk analyses and identify potential mitigation (QSRA)
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English
