Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are seeking an Inventory Specialist with a background in Forecasting & Planning to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysing sales data, historical trends, and industry forecast to predict future demand for automotive parts
- Developing and maintaining accurate inventory forecasting models using spreadsheets or specialised software
- Establishing minimum/maximum reorder points and lead times for parts based on demand forecasts
- Collaborating with purchasing and sales teams to optimise inventory levels and minimise stockouts or overstocking
- Managing and monitoring inventory turnover rates, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending adjustments to inventory planning strategies
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or similar
- Around 5-8 years’ experience in forecasting demand and planning stock levels
- Working knowledge of forecasting models and/or Excel spreadsheets
- Experience in maintaining efficient parts availability and cost control
- Familiarity with working in the Middle East and/or international companies
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
