Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are seeking an Inventory Manager with a background in Operations and Forecasting to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilising historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to predict future demand for automotive parts, components, and vehicles
  • Developing strategies to optimise inventory levels; balancing the need to minimise carrying costs with the requirement to ensure adequate stock availability to meet customer demands
  • Collaborating with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of inventory whilst minimising stockouts and excess inventory
  • Conducting regular analyses of inventory data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Overseeing the day-to-day inventory operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing automotive inventory efficiently and accurately
  • Continuously refining forecasting models and methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecasting errors

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or similar
  • Around 10 years’ experience in inventory management, including forecasting future demands, optimising stock levels, and ensuring smooth operations
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software and other analytical tools
  • Familiarity with working in the Middle East and/or international companies
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
