Linum Consult’s client is seeking a Finance Director with experience in the power and utilities sector to be based in Melbourne.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banks, payroll, inventory, fixed assets
- Maintaining general ledger accounts, ensuring proper and accurate journal entry preparation
- Maintaining a robust compliance framework
- Managing the preparation and review of tax calculations, estimates, and reports
- Ensuring a robust tax compliance framework and the timely filing of all corporate tax returns
- Ensuring an effective treasury management as well as a robust risk control environment
- Ensuring proper cash flow planning with the aim of satisfying timely cash requirements of the business, and ensuring optimal capital structuring at all times
- Managing excess of liquidity and recommending measure to optimise returns from temporary cash investments in compliance with the established treasury policy
- Leading all activities related to the administration of the project financing arrangements in place
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Finance and/or Business Administration with a professional qualification CFA. Preferably have an MBA or master’s in Finance
- Between 10-15 years of project finance experience within the power and/or utilities sector, with at least 4-5 years in a similar position or level of responsibility
- Preferably have 5 years’ exposure to international markets within large multicultural companies
- Previous history of working successfully in a multicultural environment
