Linum Consult’s client is an international design, engineering and management company. They are currently seeking a Design Director from a civil engineering or architecture background to interface with their clients and review design submissions on multiple infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Frequently interacting with clients, understanding their requirements, and coordinating with subcontractor design teams to implement the clients’ vision
- Reviewing project development plans, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and standards. Making sure applications for permits are adequate and comply with approved plans
- Developing guidelines to make sure that all design decisions minimise cost and time overruns, whilst still delivering high quality projects
- Developing strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders. Influencing design decisions at the highest level
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- 20 years’ experience in design management on infrastructure projects
- Very strong client liaison skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- A persuasive individual, with the ability to influence clients
- Highly organised and able to review designs for multiple projects at once
- Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent communication and presentation skills
