Linum Consult’s client is an international technical and engineering construction specialist. They are looking to hire a Project Director specialising in CSA works to join their team on a data centre construction project in Belgium.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Based on site, you will be managing the main contractors, sub-contractors, designers and cost consultancies
- Overseeing the detailed design of the Civil, Structural, and Architectural aspects of the project
- Leading the project management team to ensure that the project cycle is completed and meets the agreed standards and objectives
- Carrying out portfolio cost control and forecast reporting, estimating project budget approval reviews, and conducting costed risk management
- Creating an organisation structure to optimise the most efficient use of resources
- Preparing the budget for your department, and monitoring the financial performance of the project; rectifying any problems that arise
- Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure that all CSA works are carried out to high standards, deadlines and budgets.
- Recommending improvements to departmental policies and procedures
PROFILE
- Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering or similar
- Strong background within the construction industry, with experience of working on highly technical large industrial buildings, especially data centres
- Excellent understanding of the CSA works on complex construction projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills English, with any French or Dutch language skills an advantage
- A history of working for main contractors
- The right to live and work in the EU
