Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a bilingual Arabic- and English-speaking Contract Specialist with expertise in Procurement to join their team in Qatar. This is a permanent role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proposing the best commercial solutions to meet the end users’ requirements whilst considering the cost effectiveness and scheduling aspects
- Selecting and preparing the best tendering and contracting strategies, which ensure the best value for the organisation’s expenditure
- Studying and understanding the technical requirements of the end suers and coordinating the preparation of the scope of work
- Providing expertise for tenders’ pre-qualification and processes bid lists, including any pre-qualification exercises and evaluations required, and obtaining the relevant management approvals
- Providing guidance to the end users in the preparation of the scope of work, bid evaluation criteria, cost estimates, and price structures
- Studying and proposing price variations, extensions, and amendments based on the merits of the cases and in the best interests of the company
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Business Administration, Law, or relevant subject
- Around 5-7 years’ experience in procurement and tendering
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing reports
- Strong commercial background skills
- Excellent computer skills especially in MS Office and SAP
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic
- Previous history of working internationally and in the Middle East
