Linum Consult’s client is an international geospatial solutions specialist. They are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a background in the mining industry to expand their operations across West Africa. This role will be based in the Ivory Coast with extensive travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving business development by offering existing products, technologies, and solutions within a specific portfolio to new and existing customers
- Maximising business growth and profitability for your allocated regions through the optimal promotion of products/solutions built on credible customer relations and partnerships
- Offering quality solutions to meet customer needs by conducting research and addressing the customers’ pain points
- Identifying and managing sales channels and partnerships, ensuring effective collaboration and optimal results
- Ensuring continuous development and maintenance of your own product knowledge for customer excellence
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the mining industry
PROFILE
- Degree or diploma qualification in Surveying
- At least 3 years’ experience working in the mining industry, ideally with some business development experience
- Fluent in French, and proficient in English to communicate with international partners and stakeholders
- Must be currently based in the Ivory Coast
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently without senior management
- Mature and credible: able to present and communicate to senior individuals on a mine
- Good knowledge of sales best practices
