Linum Consult’s client is a large civil engineering specialist currently seeking a Business Development Engineer to support the New Business Products Team in the generation of sales across the UK. This role will be based in the West Midlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine customer data and develop offers for products and services
- Maintain involvement in discovering sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers
- Visiting clients and sites to examine and prepare technical proposals and options
- Coordinating the production of layout, assembly and detailed drawings within the team for product applications
- Examining the installation processes for products and identifying processes or materials which support the service and operational teams around the UK
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, and liaise with technical product teams across Europe
- Reviewing and assisting the further development of structural product reports to present whole life and replacement product strategies
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
- Strong technical knowledge of parts for moving structures or structural products with a technical nature
- Demonstrable knowledge of technical selling techniques and stages in the sales process
- Excellent communication skills; tenacious and proactive; with the ability to identify, secure and maximise on business opportunities through positive relationships with all stakeholders
- The right to live and work in the UK
