Linum Consult’s client is a major global contractor, operating on some of the world’s biggest construction and infrastructure projects. They are seeking a Bid Writer from any industry, with a passion for writing, to join their head office in Paris. As this position is with the international proposal’s division, the language used between the team is English and all contract and commercial documentation (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs) will be in English. Our client tenders for major projects across the globe, which would include Rail, Metro, Bridge and Tunnel projects.


  • Supporting Proposal Managers and interfacing with business developers and technical teams to solicit content and craft a range of documentation in English; from highly technical engineering and construction methodologies to clear and compelling executive summaries and project descriptions that convey the company’s brand and value
  • Developing, updating, adapting, and/or editing bid documents and related write-ups that align and comply with the tender’s requirements. Write-ups will include topics such as design capability, construction capability, project management, financial capability, PPP delivery, risk management, quality, health & safety, sustainable development, plant & equipment, etc.
  • Ensuring the technical content is accurate and consistent
  • Collaborating in the development and implementation of a virtual library to share with the company’s other subsidiaries and international entities
  • Collaborating with the extended proposal management team in the improvement of existing proposal library content
  • Contributing to discussions within the proposal management team, sharing new ideas, and participating actively in the team’s continuous improvement process


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Journalism, Commerce, Marketing, or similar from an accredited University and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills in English, with a basic understanding of French
  • Ideally have experience of working in a bid production environment
  • Strong analysis skills, with the ability to understand client requirements in tender documents
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and time management skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high attention to detail
  • Any previous experience in the public infrastructure sector would be an advantage
  • Highly skilled in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • The right to live and work in the EU
