Linum Consult’s client is a subsidiary of a large international main contractor, providing digital services and solutions for the construction industry. They are currently seeking an Application Architect to work on different product lines, helping develop application software and also in the upstream phase of new projects to design new applications. This role will be based in Paris.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the development and DevOps teams of product lines to validate the developed architectures and ensure their maintainability, security, and scalability
- Participating in tenders to draft technical documents and estimating the costs of application development and deployment services
- Supporting the operational maintenance teams of product lines in case of technical escalation
- Technological watch on various subjects (BI, Scalability, Distributed Systems…)
- Technical audits of existing applications/architectures within the group or externally for partnerships or integration of existing code
- Using the following in a modern and constantly evolving technical ecosystem:
- Cloud: Azure
- Monitoring: Datadog
- Ticketing/Service desk: Jira
- Containers: Kubernetes/Docker
- Programming languages: NodeJS, Angular, Java, C#
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Infra as code: Terraform
REQUIREMENTS
- Bac+5 degree (university or engineering school) with a specialisation in Computer Science or embedded systems
- Previous experience as a software architect
- Excellent knowledge and use of one of the following programming languages: NodeJS, Java, C#
- Familiar with the Azure environment, with certification preferable
- Excellent knowledge of infrastructure deployment via code, such as Terraform
- Rigorous, autonomous, open-minded, and with good interpersonal skills
