Linum Consult’s client is a leading international finance company, currently seeking a VP to oversee the end-to-end Design and Development across Asset and Liability Management Technology and leading a global team. The ALM is a key Treasury vertical responsible for assessing Interest Rate Risk for the Banking Book portfolio of the company. This role will be based in Northampton.


  • Being responsible for the development and delivery of all technical changes in the ALM landscape
  • Collaborating with Risk Finance & Treasury (RFT) and Business Architects to define the Architectural strategy and roadmap for ALM
  • Working with design leads in your team to deliver detailed technical designs in line with the Architectural roadmap and RFT technology strategy
  • Setting up a multiple location organisation delivery structure that works together seamlessly to deliver technology capabilities
  • Actively engaging with stakeholders to understand business pain points and problems, and ensuring that the technology deliverables address them
  • Engaging with international partner technology teams to ensure delivered capabilities meet the scope and requirements agreed with business stakeholders
  • Planning, managing and tracking deliverables and ensuring timely delivery and to high standards
  • Ensuring appropriate quality assurance of the deliverables and the successful transition of projects into production, with appropriate logging and control frameworks


  • Significant experience in the development and delivery of medium to large .NET/C#/SQL Server applications
  • Demonstrable experience in creating detailed technical designs of medium to large .NET/C#/SQL Server applications aligned to a technology strategy and roadmap
  • Previous history of managing medium to large teams (25+ resources) across multiple locations, including internationally
  • Hands-on experience in delivering medium to large applications in cloud technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in multiple software development lifecycle methodologies, especially Agile and Waterfall
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in particular interacting and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Previous history of working within the Banking or Financial Services sector
  • Experience in implementing controls in large scale solutions
  • Ideally have experience and knowledge of regulatory programmes and the Treasury/Investment banking domain
