Linum Consult’s client is an international main contractor, urgently seeking a Subcontract Manager to manage key subcontract packages on a large Design & Build (UAV-GC) highway and bridge project in the Netherlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administering and managing subcontract agreements
- Leading subcontractor meetings (progress, commercial, contractual)
- Frequently liaising with a JV/consortium
- Identifying and managing contractual risks, variations, and deviations
- Supporting negotiations related to changes, additional works, omissions, and claims
- Maintaining accurate contractual records, correspondence, and reporting
- Ensuring subcontract obligations align with the project schedule, cost, and quality targets
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management is preferred
- At least 10 years’ experience as a Contract or Subcontract Manager, ideally with a history of working with main contractors within a large JV or consortium environment
- History of working on significant heavy civil engineering projects, highways, or bridges
- Strong analytical and logical skills, with excellent knowledge of Design & Build contracts (UAV-GC or equivalent)
- Confident in contract interpretation, negotiations, and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written Dutch and English
- The right to live and work in the EU
