Linum Consult’s client is a leading international finance company, currently seeking a Senior Risk Developer to provide intraday risk, P&L, and market data to the Macro business. This role will be at the level of Vice President and based in London.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping to provide traders a view of their positions and an aggregated management view of risk for senior management, to be fed to control systems
- Using a number of technologies such as Kafka, C++ and some Python
- Engaging with senior level stakeholders amongst business management and trading teams
- Programming in .NET to change/modify the greenfield application suite’s codebase as per business requirements
- Owning key work items throughout the process development cycle
- Leading the hands-on development, being responsible for ensuring the project works meets the highest technical standards
- Overseeing line management for 1-2 members of staff
- Liaising with Front Office (traders, business managers) to discuss new requirements, issues
- Providing production support
PROFILE
- Strong experience in .NET development
- Demonstrable history of managing development processes on a large project or team
- Ability to interact and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent ability to deliver well-designed frameworks for monitoring and testing
- Experience in Kafka/Redis and GraphQL
- Good knowledge of AWS cloud technologies
- Experience of creating reliable development processes
- Have good knowledge of coding standards
