Linum Consult’s client is working on a major rail project in the Baltics. They are currently in need of a Senior Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety Engineer to join their team in either Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the definition, allocation, and complex analysis of all RAMS requirements and aspects of the company’s project, including ENE and CCS subsystems
- Applying methods of RAMS assurance to be used on the project, performing or reviewing Preliminary Hazard Assessments, RAM analyses, and other RAMS deliverables
- Setting up and managing the internal processes required for RAMS assurance and safety management during the project
- Participating in functional concept designs, developing and reviewing technical solutions, specifications and cost estimates
- Assigning work and overseeing work produced by designers and/or suppliers, developing scopes of work and engineering fee estimates
- Reviewing assigned work and/or checking design documents, calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by systems designers
- Providing assurance that systems and products meet the project RAMS requirements
- Working in close cooperation with National Safety Authorities, the European Railway Agency, Baltic states Implementing Bodies and other stakeholders
- Participating in the preparation of technical specifications and participating at the company’s public procurement committees
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years’ experience in 1435mm railway RAMS engineering, design, supervision and acceptance, within an engineering company, infrastructure manager, or signalling supplier
- Experience of safety standards, such as CENELEC, IEC 61508, and RAMS methods
- Previous history of working on large-scale ERTMS or CBTC projects
- Experience in high speed line railway engineering on an international scale
- Excellent in CSM-RA process and safety management
- Experience in a demanding transport system environment
- Knowledge of AutoCAD suite or similar design tools, and knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract for design and build
- Fluent in English, and ideally a Baltic language
- Very strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express and present technical concepts to stakeholders
- The right to live and work in the EU
