Linum Consult’s client is a major contractor operating internationally and in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Senior QA/QC Manager to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing, implementing, and managing the Integrated Management Systems within the company, striving for continuous improvement as well as ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14011, ISO 45001, the contractual requirements, and the maintaining of ISO certifications
- Establishing and ensuring that the policies and management systems comply with the international standards
- Driving the assurance programme within the company and associated contractors by addressing audit findings, any risks derived from audit outcomes and required actions
- Providing guidance to the maintenance teams regarding quality assurance systems/procedures
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the QA & QC Departmental activities and associated relevant issues
- Developing, implementing, and managing the Quality Control activities based on the risk profile for all subsystems, ensuring compliance with the approved O&M, and Asset Maintenance documents and contractual requirements
- Managing, organising, coordinating, and implementing an efficient reporting process various Engineering & Maintenance reports (failure/defect, progress, TANC, etc.) to senior management, sub-systems, and external stakeholders
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering, Project/Quality Management, Business Management or similar. Ideally have a master’s degree
- Completed an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course and have applicable certification in Quality, e.g. Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Lean skills, or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Preferably a member of a suitable professional body
- At least 10 years’ experience in implementing and monitoring effective Quality Management Systems and processes in line with international best practices, with over 5 years in a Senior Management role
- Strong background within the metro/railway maintenance industry
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 31000, etc.) and compliance
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with influential people at all levels within and outside the organisation
- Ability to lead, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams throughout the use of QMS fundamentals including data analysis, root cause, and problem solving techniques
