Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Doha.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, and databases, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, ensuring the seamless integration of infrastructure solutions
- Developing and implementing infrastructure updates, patches, and fixes, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations
- Ensuring IT infrastructure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 & PCI-DSS
- Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations and recommendations
- Participating in IT planning and strategy development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends
PROFILE
- 6-7 years’ minimum experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in the transportation sector
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar subject
- Certified or trained in any of the following: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)m Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP), and/or VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Strong skills in VMware virtualisation, Cisco networking, Microsoft Active Directory, and Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure)
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, with any Arabic language skills an advantage
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be preferred
