Linum Consult’s client is an international infrastructure and engineering company, currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in the design of High Voltage projects, to join their team in London.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing complex electrical/control systems from concept through to delivery
- Reviewing and verifying client-provided designs including bill of quantities and standards
- Developing designs and scope from feasibility studies to as-built drawings
- Preparing specifications, drawings, and datasheets to define the scope of work
- Preparing Invitations to Tender, and leading bid evaluations
- Conducting contract management of electrical subcontracts from award to site delivery
- Working alongside the construction site team to manage the installation of complex equipment and providing solutions to site electrical queries
- Attending sites and carrying out equipment quality inspections, identifying issues and proposing solutions
PROFILE
- BEng/MEng degree educated, ideally with a chartership to a relevant institution
- At least 8 years of experience working on infrastructure and rail projects
- Previously worked for EPC contractors in the specification, procurement, and delivery of electrical systems
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Any foreign language skills would be preferable
- The right to live and work in the UK
