Linum Consult’s client is a leading international finance company, currently seeking a Senior Application Developer to plan and perform engineering tasks for specialist applications. This role will be based in London.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out domain-based design/development on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, etc.
- Facing off to one or more business areas or SMEs and understanding high level requirements
- Innovating and owning design/architecting solutions and ensuring delivery from requirement to successful completion
- Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, discussing and documenting high level requirements, system requirements, design workflows, etc.
- Working independently with different areas and teams from business, operations, engineering, and support teams
- Providing support to the Lead Business Analyst or Project Manager, helping to articulate and present effective requirement proposals within a project or initiative
- Supporting the development of the test strategy, plan, and test cases, working in conjunction with the business, testing and development teams
PROFILE
- Strong knowledge on ETL and Data Modelling
- Experience with Data Warehousing and Data Architecture
- Experience in Agile and DevOps
- Good understanding of SQL and generating data reports and dashboards
- Good understanding of business requirements around data, data analytics, regulatory requirements
- Ideally have experience of working with Risk, Finance, and Treasury functions
- Have an understanding of cloud architectures, cloud technology standards and be able to communicate technically with delivery leads on project execution
- Have hands-on experience with Data Visualisation and data analytics tools such as QlikView, Tableau, etc.
