Linum Consult’s client is an international firm specialising in subsea infrastructure works. Due to extended growth, they are looking to hire a QHSE Manager to join their senior management team in Dakar, Senegal
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading and monitoring the company’s continual improvement processes and performance
- Reporting on performance and supporting the continual development of the QHSE Management System for company operations
- Ensuring effective management of designated QHSE personnel
- Supervising operational QHSE support required for projects and worksites
- Liaising with relevant authorities and external stakeholders regarding QHSE matters
- Participating and assisting with the accreditation processes for the company’s QHSE Management System
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualification in Health & Safety NVQ Level 6 or equivalent, with IRQA Lead Auditor certification
- Membership to CQI, Chartered Member of IOSH, and Associate Member of IEMA
- At least 10 years’ experience in a health and safety role for large infrastructure projects in Africa
- Fluency in English and French is essential
- Experience and understanding of management systems, legislation, risk management, auditing, inspection, incident management, and emergency response
- Knowledge of contractual documents
- Advanced in MS Office
