Linum Consult’s client is an international firm specialising in subsea infrastructure works. Due to extended growth, they are looking to hire a QA/QC Manager with experience in transmission system projects to join their team in Dakar, Senegal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and scheduling the program of Internal Quality Audits to evaluate the status and effectiveness of the Quality Management System
- Acting as the lead auditor to undertake audits of the sub-contractors and suppliers
- Managing the QA/QC department staff, including the site-based teams
- Reviewing, approving and signing off all Project Procedures and Project Quality Plans
- Providing technical assistance/training to site personnel to ensure staff adhere to established procedures
- Setting up and monitoring quality systems including Quality Control Procedures and Plans for building construction projects. Issuing Non-conformance Reports
- Maintaining ISO certification
PROFILE
- 10 years of quality assurance experience, with a background of working on transmission system projects, and 7 years of QA/QC management on projects of a similar nature and complexity
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation or similar
- International project management and change management experience
- Previous history of working at a regional level in Africa
- Fluency in English and French, with good leadership and communication skills
