Linum Consult’s client is an international technical and engineering construction specialist, with a focus in complex industrial buildings. They are looking to hire a Project Quality Manager to join their team in Belgium.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring that all construction activities comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, and government regulations. Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance
- Developing and implementing quality assurance processes and procedures to prevent defects and errors in construction projects
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to established quality standards
- Supporting the creation and evaluation of quality control measures, involving the development and implementation of robust Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Sign-Off, and Quality Hold Points
- Continuously assessing and improving construction processes to enhance efficiency, and proposing and implementing improvements based on lessons learned
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of quality-related activities
- Developing and delivering training programmes
- Identifying and assessing quality-related risks in construction projects
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or a similar relevant subject, with a membership to a recognised quality management professional body, such as the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
- Significant experience in quality management within the construction industry is essential, providing a deep understanding of construction processes, standards and regulations
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards, with experience leading audits and proficiency in quality management systems. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 would be advantageous
- Strong technical skills in quality management tools and software
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English
