Linum Consult’s client is an international firm well established in Africa. They are urgently looking for a Project Manager specialising in power generation plant equipment. This role will be based in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading and managing projects within the power generation business and its associated balance of plant
- Managing the full project lifecycle from Purchase Order receipt to commissioning and handover
- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities across engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, and commissioning
- Leading the project execution to meet technical, commercial, and contractual requirements
- Tracking project schedules, budgets, and resources. Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Providing frequent progress reports to senior management and key stakeholders
- Supporting site activities during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering, with a certification in project management
- Demonstrable history of power generation projects and balance of plant systems, in an engineering role
- Excellent knowledge of project execution processes from Purchase Order to commissioning
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written French & English
