Linum Consult’s client is part of one of the world’s largest construction companies operating on prestigious civil engineering projects globally. Working in conjunction with a number of government & blue-chip clients they undertake a range of technical civil engineering projects. They are currently seeking a Project Manager specialising in Diaphragm Walls, Deep Foundations, and Ground Improvement works for their project in Paris, France.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating construction activities and ensuring completion of works to the highest standards of safety, quality, and within the stipulated timeframe and budget
- Determining and managing project priorities to ensure the effective application of resources to guarantee project delivery
- Regularly reviewing the productivity, effectiveness, quality and profitability of projects, including project follow-up, to monitor project deliverables and client satisfaction levels
- Participating in the resolution of any technical issues during technical meetings and the construction phase
- Ensuring a safe working environment is provided for all team members
- Ensuring the company’s professional standards and company objectives are maintained in relation to budget targets, service quality, company reputation, H&S and environmental standards are met and taking responsibility for compliance with external and internal standards
- Providing leadership, direction, and training to the team, ensuring effective engagement and using skills, competencies, and expertise to drive operational efficiencies and quality
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geology or equivalent. Professional membership or chartership (MICE, CEng, etc.) would be beneficial
- At least 10 years’ experience in ground engineering projects, with 5 years’ experience specifically working on diaphragm walls
- Previous experience as a Project Manager in a multicultural environment
- Analytically minded, with excellent interpersonal and people management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written French and English
