Linum Consult’s client is a subsidiary of a large international main contractor, providing digital services and solutions, specialising in infrastructure, soil, and the environment. They are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee a large monitoring contract on a significant civil engineering project in Birmingham.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing all phases of the process, making sure the project is completed on time and within scope and budget
- Taking accountability and responsibility for all operational aspects of the business, including health, safety, quality systems, and environmental matters
- Promoting policies and processes
- Managing the labour schedule and overseeing details. Providing leadership to maximise the potential of the company and staff
- Liaising with third parties to ask and answer questions as needed
- Performing negotiations with partners, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Processing change orders
- Analysing financial results and submitting reports
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering
- Around 5-10 years’ experience in high-level project management (P&L, people management, contracts, clients, safety, etc)
- Demonstrable experience of working in a networking environment with several stakeholders
- Excellent business acuity with the ability to lead the growth of a business unit
- Strong understanding of Civil Engineering, with excellent knowledge of digital processes
- Previous history of working for main contractors
- Fluent in English, with the right to live and work in the UK
