Linum Consult’s client is a major international company that works within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Expert to be based in their Doha office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the development and refinement the company’s M&A strategy in line with their overall business goals, and identifying potential acquisition targets or merger partners
  • Assisting with various stages of the M&A process, including initial screening of potential targets, transaction closing and post-merger integration
  • Conducting market research and industry analysis to identify trends and opportunities for potential M&A activities
  • Evaluating financial statements, business models, and market positioning of potential targets
  • Developing financial models and valuation analyses to assess the financial impact of potential acquisitions or mergers
  • Assisting in the preparation of investment proposals and business cases for senior management and board review

PROFILE

  • Degree qualification in Finance, Engineering, or Economics, ideally with an MBA
  • At least 10 years’ experience in an M&A role within the energy/power sector, either working directly for a multinational energy company or for a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Excellent understanding of power/energy and water sectors, particular renewable assets, emerging trends, technologies, and key players
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience of working internationally, preferably in the Middle East/Qatar
