Linum Consult’s client is a leading international contractor delivering complex offshore wind, marine and heavy civil engineering projects across Europe. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead the development and implementation of a multi-division wide procurement strategy, strengthening procurement capability across the organisation and supporting the successful delivery of major projects. This is a strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape procurement standards, influence project delivery strategies and build long-term supply chain partnerships within a highly technical and international environment. Working closely with senior leadership, project directors and commercial teams, you will play a key role in improving procurement maturity, governance and performance across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Establish and embed consistent procurement frameworks, processes and best practices across multiple business units.
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Advise senior leadership and project teams on procurement strategies, market conditions, sourcing approaches and commercial risks.
- Provide functional leadership, coaching and development to procurement professionals across the organisation.
- Improve procurement governance, reporting and performance measurement through digitalisation and data-driven decision making.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, innovation and supply chain improvement.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously enhance procurement capability.
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in strategic procurement, supply chain or commercial management within infrastructure, energy, marine, offshore wind, technology or complex industrial environments.
- Proven experience operating within major project organisations and tender environments.
- Strong track record developing supplier relationships and managing complex supply chains.
- Experience implementing procurement governance, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong advisory and influencing skills with the ability to engage confidently with executive stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset combined with a practical understanding of project delivery.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Eligible to live and work within the European Union.
