Are you ready to lead the contractual strategy behind some of Europe’s most complex offshore wind and marine infrastructure projects? Our client is a leading international contractor delivering major offshore wind, marine and heavy civil engineering projects across Europe. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking to appoint a Head of Contract Management to shape and lead the contract management function across a portfolio of high-value EPC projects. This is far more than a traditional contract management role. You’ll influence commercial strategy from tender through to project delivery, working alongside senior operational, commercial and legal stakeholders to manage risk, maximise opportunity and strengthen contractual performance across the business. Equally important, you’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of Contract Managers, embedding best practice and introducing innovative digital and AI-driven solutions that will shape the future of contract management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the contract management function across multiple offshore wind and marine projects.
- Develop, negotiate and administer main contracts and key subcontract agreements, including FIDIC and BIMCO-based contracts.
- Drive contractual governance, ensuring effective management of change, claims, variations, risk and contractual obligations.
- Develop and implement best practice processes for contract administration, contractual correspondence, document control and reporting.
- Work closely with Legal and senior project leadership on complex contractual matters, disputes and commercial strategy.
- Mentor and develop Contract Managers and Subcontract Managers across the business, supporting both internal teams and external specialists.
- Champion the adoption of digital and AI-driven tools to improve contract analysis, risk management and commercial decision-making.
- Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and contractual awareness throughout the organisation.
PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Approximately 10–15 years’ experience in Contract Management on offshore wind, marine, EPC, major infrastructure or industrial construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC contracts, BIMCO contracts and complex procurement and delivery models.
- Proven experience leading contract negotiations, change management, claims and dispute resolution.
- Commercially astute with outstanding analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- An interest in digitalisation and AI, with the ability to apply emerging technologies to improve contract management processes.
- Eligible to live and work within the European Union.
