Linum Consult’s client, an international fit-out contractor, is seeking an Estimator to provide tender costs for construction projects and ensure competitive bid. This role will be based in Paris, France.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completing estimates for a range of fit out projects within controlled environment project sites
- Organising copies of tender documents and amendments for appropriate parties
- Answering queries from subcontractors/suppliers
- Liaising with the client and/or design team during the tender process and arranging meetings if required
- Identifying the scope for design alternatives and value engineering, and discussing with appropriate bid team members
- Attending adjudication meetings and presenting tenders
- Highlighting any areas of concern/risk in cost proposals
PROFILE
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Estimator
- Previous experience working within the fit-out or renovation sector, ideally on data centre or cleanroom projects, but will consider experience in estimating ceilings/partitions/drywall packages
- Knowledge of contracts & contract documentation, construction materials, construction methods & technology, pricing levels, and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English and in French
