Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking a Clinical Pathologist to join their team in Doha.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting comprehensive laboratory analyses, including haematological, biochemical, immunological, microbiological, and molecular tests on patient samples to aid in diagnoses and monitoring
  • Evaluating and interpreting test results, considering clinical context and relevance
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining rigorous quality control & assurance protocols to ensure accuracy, reliability, and validity of test results
  • Adhering to established laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers on test selection, result interpretation, and clinical significance
  • Collaborating with pathologists, clinicians, and laboratory staff to optimise patient care pathways, ensuring seamless communication
  • Participating in the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows and laboratory personnel

PROFILE

  • Medical degree from an accredited university, with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Pathology
  • Degree qualified and QCHP-approved medical practitioner (specialist) certification, ensuring expertise in clinical pathology
  • At least 5 years’ experience in clinical pathology in laboratory management
  • Strong background in diagnostic interpretation, laboratory management, clinical data analysis & correlation, and laboratory techniques & procedures
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be preferred
