Linum Consult’s client is a major international group that works within the energy sector. They are currently in the process of expanding within Oman and are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to be based in their Muscat office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Being the face of significant energy assets in northern Oman; interacting with stakeholders of all levels, both external and internal, including government and private stakeholders
- Preparing and implementing the Strategic Annual Business Plan and Budget with business leaders
- Preparing and implementing the Business Goals and Objectives with business leaders
- Managing shareholders, lenders, lenders engineers, and the insurance/brokers surveyors
- Coordinating with the off-taker and other Government Authorities at the short- and long-term operation planning level
- Overseeing strategic long term and annual production and maintenance plans to enable the business to achieve all goals and objectives
- Being the overall responsible party for the safe development, operations, and maintenance of the energy assets
- Ensuring the energy assets keep their operational and environmental permits, authorisations, and licenses, and that they continue to operate in compliance within all legal and governmental rules and legislation
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Engineering, ideally with an MBA from a recognised Management School or equivalent
- At least 15-20 years’ experience, with 6-7 years in a similar role and preferably within the energy/power industry
- Accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the energy/power industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to different cultures and the ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of multi-tasking and working under pressure
- Ability to oversee a number of departments, and lead a company successfully
- Excellent financial understanding of the budget and project financials
- Fluent in Arabic and English – our client would prefer Omani nationals at this time
