Linum Consult’s client is an international subcontractor, part of a larger group operating on civil engineering and construction projects around the globe. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to hire a Chinese-speaking Business Development Manager to be based in their Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Bangkok office, with frequent travel across South-East Asia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting to the Sales Manager for Asia, you will be developing the hydropower business across South-East Asia
- Undertaking training to ultimately replace the Sales Manager for Asia when they retire
- Developing the company’s contacts in the region, eventually managing local agents and other subsidiaries of the group
- Improving and solidifying relationships with large Chinese contractors and designers
PROFILE
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering or Business Administration
- At least 10-15 years’ post-graduate experience in business development and sales within the civil engineering sector, especially hydro or hydropower (designer, turbine suppliers, etc.)
- Extensive market knowledge within Asian countries is essential
- Previous experience working internationally, and keen to travel extensively within South-East Asia
- Fluent in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
