Linum Consult’s client is an international firm well-established in Africa. They are urgently seeking a bilingual Aftermarket Manager specialised in heavy equipment or construction to be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the local after-sales department. This position will be based in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving operational excellence across the company’s service operations by developing and implementing standards for infrastructure, processes, tooling, and performance management
- Ensuring efficient, profitable, and customer-focused service delivery across workshops, CRCs, mining sites, and field operations
- Defining and enhancing state of the art workshop guidelines and coordinating their implementation
- Defining, standardising, and implementing service operational KPIs to achieve the company’s objectives
- Leading and coordinating tooling management, standardisation, and calibration
- Defining standard processes and supervising their implementation in order to provide global solutions for local needs
PROFILE
- Master’s degree in a Mechanical or Engineering subject is essential
- At least 7 years’ experience in aftermarket management, ideally from a construction or heavy equipment dealer background, and 2 years in a leadership role
- Excellent understanding of the African markets
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of parts, services, and customer needs in the heavy equipment aftermarket, particularly with Komatsu equipment
- Experience in inventory management, supply chain operations and sales strategies
- Fluency in both French and English
- A history of working with ERP (e.g. SAP) would be preferred
