Linum Consult’s client is a small, up-and-coming specialist consultancy operating across France. They are involved in a number of significant commercial construction projects and are urgently looking to hire a Senior Cost Manager to act as the head of department at their Paris office.


  • Managing the delivery of design and build services on projects, in liaison with the clients’ teams
  • Performing all tasks assigned to the company, from defining the budget to handing over the project, closely cooperating with the clients’ operations/real estate/legal departments
  • Leading and organising a team of less experienced cost managers and facilitating their professional development
  • Answering any Requests For Proposals the company is involved in; planning, monitoring, and reporting on the financial goals and results of the services the department is delivering
  • Evaluating, proposing, and managing the continuous improvement and creating production tools and internal procedures specific to construction economics


  • Master’s degree or Engineering degree qualified
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in construction economics, working directly with project owners or project management teams
  • Technical knowledge of contracts and cost controls for the development or renovation of commercial buildings
  • Excellent ability to develop and train junior staff, with strong organisational and team management skills
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Keen to improve your knowledge and professional development by aiming towards certification with RICS, OPQTEC, or UNTEC
