Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking an IT Governance Security Team Leader to join them in Doha.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the IT Governance Security team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and systems
- Developing and implementing comprehensive IT security strategies and plans, aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
- Ensuring compliance with security policies, procedures, and standards, conducting regular audits and assessments
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT security risks, prioritising and addressing potential threats
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including Qatar’s data protection laws, Qatar Central Bank’s regulations on payment card security, and Qatar’s Cybersecurity Framework
- Developing and implementing incident response plans, ensuring prompt & effective responses to security incidents
- Responding to security incidents and breaches, minimising the impact and restoring normal operations
- Developing and delivering comprehensive security awareness training programmes, educating employees on security best practices
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar subject
- 10 years’ minimum experience in IT security leadership, ideally within the public transport sector or similar industry
- Certified or trained in any of the following: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Excellent working knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Data Analytics (Tableau, Power BI, Excel), and Cybersecurity (penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, incident response)
- Fluency in English is essential
