Linum Consult’s client is an international design and build main contractor, specialising in large commercial and industrial buildings. They are currently seeking a Project Director to be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing a major factory construction project in Germany.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting and supporting the Business Development Director during the project design and cost evaluation phase by addressing the clients’ requirements, conditions, and processes
- Taking responsibility for project management, particularly regarding timelines, costs, and quality, including tendering, awarding, and coordinating subcontractors, as well as contract management on both the client and subcontractor sides
- Overseeing and managing all technical processes across all project phases
- Leading the project team
- Maintaining excellent communication with all project stakeholders
- Ensuring a smooth and safe project process in line with internal company guidelines and client requirements
PROFILE
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar
- 15 years’ experience within the construction industry, with experience of managing large complex industrial building projects of more than €150million
- Previous experience within the defence sector with security clearance would be beneficial
- Strong knowledge of VOB and HOAI regulations
- Excellent awareness of quality, costs, and deadlines
- Fluent in spoken and written German, with good English language skills
- The right to live and work in the EU, with a willingness to travel frequently (at least 3 days a week on site)
